Carson’s short play Arcana has been featured at every year of 6th Fest, and is now being developed into a full length play, Endlings, about the sixth mass extinction. She most recently served as the Artistic Director of Chicago Dramatists, and is the founder of The Root & The Bloom Collective in Butte, MT. Selected stage plays include: A Mislaid Heaven (Jeff Award, ADA Award - Best New Work); By the Music of Spheres (commissioned, The Goodman Theatre); The Erotic Life of Property, (Williamstown Theater Festival); Remembering Heloise (Playwriting Excellence Award, Kennedy Center). Her screenplays have placed at the Los Angeles New Wave Film Festival, and Austin Film Festival. and Dramaturg for The Mark Taper Forum (New Play Festival).  She’s taught Playwriting and Screenwriting at The University of Chicago, NYU, and others.
